Welcome to Comilmart, Africa’s premier multivendor eCommerce marketplace built to empower local sellers and connect them to buyers across the continent. Our mission is to help African businesses scale by providing a reliable, transparent, and supportive digital marketplace.

This Seller Policy outlines the rules, obligations, and expectations of all vendors operating on the Comilmart platform. By registering as a seller, you agree to abide by these policies in full.

1. Eligibility to Sell

To sell on Comilmart, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Register as a legal business entity or verified sole proprietor.
  • Provide valid identification and/or business documents (CAC for Nigeria, RGD for Ghana, BRELA for Tanzania, etc.).
  • Have a valid bank account for receiving payments.
  • Agree to our Vendor Agreement, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.

2. Vendor Store Setup

Each approved seller will receive a dedicated microsite/storefront on Comilmart. You are responsible for:

  • Adding clear product listings with quality images, accurate descriptions, and proper categorization.
  • Setting correct inventory levels and prices.
  • Updating listings frequently to reflect availability and discounts.

Prohibited Listings:

  • Counterfeit or fake products
  • Stolen or unauthorized goods
  • Expired food or pharmaceuticals
  • Weapons, drugs, adult products (unless permitted by local law)
  • Items violating intellectual property rights or national import/export regulations

3. Order Fulfillment & Shipping

Comilmart supports both Vendor Delivery and Integrated Logistics (via partners like Aku Logistics, DHL, UPS, FEDEX, Aramex, Sendy, Kwik, GIG and many other local logistics companies in Africa).

Sellers Must:

  • Confirm, process, and ship orders within 24–72 hours.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling.
  • Provide tracking details when available.
  • Notify customers in case of delays or stock-outs.

Delivery Timeframes:

  • Local: 1–3 business days
  • Regional: 3–14 business days

Vendors failing to ship within the agreed timeframe may face:

  • Order cancellation
  • Delisting of affected SKUs
  • Account suspension

4. Returns, Refunds & Disputes

Return Window: Customers may request returns within 7–14 days depending on the product category.

Sellers Are Required To:

  • Accept valid returns for defective, wrong, or damaged items.
  • Issue replacements or refunds based on the agreed terms.
  • Resolve disputes promptly via the Comilmart Resolution Centre.

Unacceptable Return Rejections (leading to penalties):

  • Refusal to respond to return requests
  • Denying refunds for verified quality issues
  • Deliberate shipment of inferior products

5. Commissions & Payments

Comilmart charges a small commission per successful sale depending on the category (ranges from 2%–12%).

Payment Cycle:

  • Payouts are made weekly after order delivery & confirmation of no return.
  • Sellers are assigned a fixed payout day (e.g., every Friday).

Currency Support:

  • Payments made in NGN, GHS, KES, USD depending on seller location.

Bank Transfer Fees:

  • Local transfers are free; international withdrawals may incur minimal fees.

6. Seller Performance & Ratings

Your performance determines your visibility on the platform. Metrics include:

Comilmart enforces a three-strike policy for repeat violations.

8. Tax & Legal Compliance

All vendors must comply with the tax laws of their home countries. Sellers are:

  • Solely responsible for collecting and remitting VAT, sales tax, or other applicable duties.
  • Required to display prices that include relevant taxes.
  • Obliged to respond to tax inquiries by regulators or Comilmart.

Comilmart may provide tax reports to help vendors reconcile earnings.

9. Promotions & Campaigns

Sellers can enroll in site-wide promotions like Black Friday, Independence Sales, or New Year Mega Deals.

  • Participation is optional but subject to Comilmart approval.
  • You may offer discounts, bundles, or free delivery.
  • Visibility boosts available through paid advertising.

10. Vendor Support & Training

Comilmart offers continuous seller support:

  • 24/7 Seller Helpline & WhatsApp Chat
  • Weekly virtual onboarding for new vendors
  • Resource Hub (videos, articles, guides)
  • Quarterly Vendor Townhalls

New sellers can also request 1-on-1 training for product listing, pricing, and store setup.

11. Data Privacy & Confidentiality

Comilmart will never sell or misuse your data. However, we reserve the right to:

  • Share sales data with you for performance analysis
  • Use your store info in marketing campaigns (with consent)
  • Retain transaction records for security & legal purposes

Sellers must also keep customer data confidential and never contact buyers outside official channels unless permitted.

12. Amendments & Termination

Comilmart may update this policy periodically. Sellers will be notified via:

  • Dashboard messages
  • Email newsletters
  • Policy updates section

You may terminate your seller account at any time, provided all outstanding transactions are resolved.
