Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) bottles are the main apparatus used in a BOD test, a test that measures the amount of oxygen used by aerobic microorganisms to break down organic matter. DWK BOD bottles are specifically designed to prevent unwanted oxygen from entering the sample during the BOD testing process.

The borosilicate glass provides excellent chemical and heat resistance. The rounded design forces air out of the bottle as it is filled. Use this bottle for incubating samples of sewage, sewage effluents, industrial waste, polluted water and more.

BOD Bottles are designed so that a solution filling the bottle will push all air out from the bottle, And generally include a flared mouth and glass stopper, which serves to form a tight seal that protects the bottles’ contents from outside contamination.

BOD Bottles (biochemical oxygen demand) are used for the five-day BOD or BOD5 test process that incubates samples at less than 20°C (68°F) to determine the amount of organic compounds present.
