Microwave and Blender Prices in Nigeria (2026): Small Appliances

C

October 21, 2026

Microwave and blender prices in Nigeria cover a huge spread: a basic blender can cost a few thousand naira on one page and over ₦100,000 on another, and a microwave ranges from under ₦100,000 to several hundred thousand. The gap comes from brand, power, size, build quality and the seller, and from the fact that published lists are collected at different times. This guide sets out the dated figures we read in October 2026 for microwaves, blenders, air fryers and one stand mixer listing, explains what the specifications mean, and shows how to compare sellers whether you are buying for a home, a small food business or for resale.

These are listed prices from publishers and a retailer's store pages. They change with the naira rate, so ask for a written quote on the day.

Microwave oven prices in Nigeria

Microwaves come in solo, grill and convection types, and in litres of capacity. A Zit guide dated 5 August 2026 (its footer says October 2025, so the page is inconsistent on date) listed these prices:

Brand and modelPrice listed
Binatone 20L microwave₦85,000
Hisense 20L microwave₦93,500
Binatone 25L with grill₦135,000
Hisense 25L with grill₦145,000
Samsung 23L solo₦165,000
Scanfrost 23L with grill₦209,000
LG 25L inverter with grill₦218,500
Hisense 30L convection₦225,000

Zit suggested a 20L model for one to three people, a 25L model for four to six and a 30L convection model for larger families who bake. Its practical tips: keep the microwave at least 15cm from heat sources, use a dedicated outlet with a voltage stabiliser, and clean the interior and turntable regularly. Because Zit sells these products, treat its brand comments as retailer opinion and read the specifications yourself.

Blender prices in Nigeria

Blender prices are the most inconsistent we found. Zit's store listing of food mixers and blenders, read in October 2026, showed (page one of three):

  • Rite-Tek 350W blender: ₦41,415
  • Qasa 1.8L blender and grinder: ₦46,962
  • Binatone BLG-470 350W: ₦65,000
  • Qasa PRO 3, 1500W: ₦70,000
  • Binatone BLG-555 1.5L 600W: ₦80,000
  • Kenwood BLP 05 1.5L 300W: ₦80,000
  • Moulinex 2L with grinder: ₦84,000
  • Binatone BLG-808 800W: ₦100,000

A Nigerian Queries blender page dated 17 August 2026 gave much lower figures: a Binatone BLG-452 at ₦25,000 (with a stated range of ₦8,000 to ₦30,000), a QASA QBL 1861A at ₦10,000, a Master Chef MC-B145 at ₦8,000 and a Saisho S-1851 at ₦7,500. The page did not say where its prices came from, and its brand comments were unsourced. We cannot reconcile the two lists. They may cover different models, power ratings, jars or dates, so compare the watts, the jar size and the motor type before you compare naira.

When you compare blenders, ask about:

  • Motor power in watts and whether the motor is rated for continuous use.
  • Jar material and size (an unbreakable jar is worth asking about if you cook for a business).
  • Grinder attachment, if you grind pepper or spices dry.
  • Warranty and service points in your city.

Standing mixer price in Nigeria

For a stand mixer, we found only one sourced listing: Zit showed a Binatone KM-1000 stand mixer and yam pounding machine at ₦180,000. We did not find enough sourced prices for other standing mixers, so we do not list a range. If you bake for sale, ask sellers for bowl size, motor wattage and attachments, and compare at least three quotes.

Air fryer prices in Nigeria

Air fryers are among the most searched small appliances. Zit's air fryer buying guide, dated 5 August 2026, listed:

  • Polystar 5L: ₦59,000
  • Maxi 4L (1500W): ₦63,000
  • Sonik 8L: ₦67,000
  • Hisense 5.2L: ₦74,750
  • Qasa 6L (1200W): ₦76,800
  • Binatone BAF 4500 (4.5L): ₦101,100
  • BLACK+DECKER AF350 (3.5L): ₦102,000

The guide's size advice was 3L to 5L for one to three people, 5L to 7L for four to six people, and 8L and above for six or more. For areas with unstable power it suggested models of 1200W to 1400W, and it said a 1.5 KVA generator can run a 1200W unit while a 1700W unit needs a 2.5 KVA generator. Those are the article's own statements, so check the rating label on any model and ask an electrician about your generator or inverter. Its savings and oil-reduction claims are also unverified.

Solo, grill or convection: choosing the right microwave

A solo microwave reheats and defrosts, and it is the simplest and usually the cheapest type. A grill model adds a heating element for browning, and a convection model circulates hot air so it can bake, which is why convection models sit at the top of the price lists above. Match the type to what you cook. If you only reheat food, paying for convection is unnecessary, but a small food business that bakes may find a solo unit too limited. Check capacity in litres against the size of the plates and trays you use, and measure the space on your counter, leaving room around the unit for air.

Small appliance buying checklist for Nigerian kitchens

  1. Check voltage and plug fit. Use a stabiliser or surge protector. Our guide to products for African markets explains why.
  2. Ask for the model number and compare the same model across sellers.
  3. Test on delivery. Run the appliance before the rider leaves; never run a microwave empty.
  4. Get warranty terms in writing and keep the receipt. See how warranty claims work.
  5. Add up the true cost: delivery, stabiliser, cables and any accessory you need.
