Writing Product Listings That Win Quotes and Orders
Buyers decide quickly. A clear, complete listing gets more messages and more quote requests than a vague one.
Title and description
- Put the product name, type and key specification in the title, the way a buyer would search for it.
- Describe materials, sizes, capacity, colours, packaging and how it is used. State what is included.
- Pick the right category so buyers and the search tools can find the product.
- Only list what you can supply. Misleading descriptions can lead to delisting.
Price, MOQ and tiers
- Set a realistic minimum order quantity (MOQ).
- Use tiered pricing so a larger quantity gets a lower unit price. Buyers can see the cheapest tier up front.
- State the unit clearly: piece, kg, carton, pallet.
Photos
- Use your plan's full image allowance. Listings with at least three photos look more trustworthy.
- Show the product from several angles, in use, and its packaging. Use clear, well-lit photos on a plain background.
- Do not use another company's images.
Trust signals
Upload certificates where they apply (see Adding Product Certifications), complete your company profile, and reply quickly to messages. Fast answers also improve your performance stats.
Check the Prohibited Products Policy before listing anything unusual.
