How to Post a Request for Quotation (RFQ)

A request for quotation (RFQ) lets you describe what you need once and receive replies from suppliers, instead of searching and messaging one by one. It is useful for larger or custom orders.

How to send an RFQ

  1. Open the Request for Quotation page.
  2. Enter the product you want, the quantity, and the country you want it delivered to.
  3. Add the details that matter: size, material, colour, grade, packaging, certifications, and when you need it.
  4. Submit the request.

What happens next

Approved suppliers see open requests on their RFQ board and can reply with a quotation, or chat with you directly. You compare the replies and choose. You are never obliged to accept any quotation.

Tips for better quotes

  • Be specific. "500 bags, 50 kg, Grade A" gets better answers than "rice".
  • State the delivery country clearly, because it affects shipping and what the supplier can offer.
  • Reply quickly to questions from suppliers.
  • Compare more than price: MOQ, lead time, samples, supplier verification and reviews.

Before a big order, consider ordering a sample. You can also negotiate with Make an Offer.
