How to Negotiate Price with "Make an Offer"
Found a product you like, but think the price has room to move? "Make an Offer" lets you propose a price directly on the listing, without going through the full RFQ process.
When to use this vs. Request a Quote
Use Make an Offer when you've already found a specific listing and just want a better price on that exact product. Use Request a Quote when you know what you need but haven't found a matching listing yet, and want multiple suppliers to compete for your business.
How it works
- On a wholesale product page, click "Make an offer"
- Enter your proposed price per unit, the quantity you want, and an optional message explaining your offer
- Submit — the supplier is notified immediately
What happens next
The supplier can respond in one of three ways:
- Accept — your offer is approved as-is, and you can complete checkout at your offered price
- Counter — they propose a different price; you can then accept their counter, which unlocks checkout at that price
- Decline — the offer doesn't go forward
Track your offers
Check the status of everything you've sent under "My Offers" in your account menu. Once an offer is accepted (either your original price or a counter you've accepted), a "Complete checkout" button appears right there.
A tip for a stronger offer
A short, specific message with your offer — mentioning your order timeline or intended use — tends to get better responses than a bare number. Suppliers are more likely to negotiate seriously with a buyer who seems genuine.
