TV, Fridge and Air Conditioner Prices in Ghana 2026 (LG, Samsung, Midea, TCL)

Buying home appliances in Ghana means comparing three very different markets, and the fridge price in Ghana can swing by tens of thousands of cedis between a basic double-door and a smart French-door model. This guide separates TVs, fridges and air conditioners so you can find the band that fits your budget, with brands including LG, Samsung, Hisense, Midea and TCL. All figures are asking prices from Jiji Ghana listing pages viewed in early October 2026, in Ghana cedis. They are not quotes: appliance prices move with the exchange rate and stock, so use them to judge a seller's offer, then check live prices before paying.

How we compared these prices

We looked at the first listings on each Jiji Ghana category page and recorded the stated price, size and condition. Listings are posted by shops and individuals, some do not state whether the item is new or used, and a few prices are clearly outliers (a very low ask can mean a faulty unit, a part or a different product). Where the condition was not stated we say so. We did not find enough Hisense TV listings to give a Hisense TV band, so the TV section covers the brands we could price.

TV prices in Ghana: 32 to 65 inch

TV prices rise with screen size and panel type (standard LED, QLED, QNED, OLED), and the same screen size can differ by thousands of cedis between a local-label set and a name brand.

  • 32 inch: a Smeco 32" FHD digital TV was GH₵950 and a TCL 32" smart QLED Android TV GH₵2,299.
  • 40 to 43 inch: budget sets were around GH₵1,500 to GH₵2,650 (Nasco 43" at GH₵1,900 to GH₵1,999, Asano 43" at GH₵2,650). A 43" Hisense smart TV was listed at GH₵3,650. LG 43" smart models were GH₵4,999 to GH₵5,199, a Samsung 43CU7000 GH₵5,299 and an LG NanoCell 43" GH₵6,499.
  • 50 inch: TCL and Sigma 50" smart TVs were about GH₵4,100, and an Asano 50" Android TV GH₵3,700.
  • 55 inch: a TCL P7K QLED was GH₵6,900, an LG UA85 GH₵7,000, a Samsung DU8000 GH₵7,300, an LG NanoCell GH₵7,500, a Samsung QLED Q60D GH₵10,000 and an LG QNED GH₵10,700. A premium LG OLED evo 55" was GH₵20,000.
  • 65 inch: TCL 65" sets ranged from GH₵7,300 to GH₵9,500, Samsung 65" models from about GH₵8,500 to GH₵13,500, and a Samsung Q70D QLED was GH₵14,500.

Many 65-inch ads were tagged "UK" and did not state a condition, so ask whether the TV is new, ex-display or used, and whether it has the built-in tuner you need if you do not plan to use a decoder.

Fridge price in Ghana: by size and type

Fridges are priced by capacity in litres and by door layout. The brands that appeared most often in the double-door listings were Midea, Hisense, Nasco, Chiq, Samsung and LG.

  • Small double-door, about 80 to 180 litres: roughly GH₵2,000 to GH₵3,800. Examples: Turf 85L at GH₵2,000, Binatone 84L at GH₵2,100, Protech 119L at GH₵2,799, Midea 132L at GH₵3,399, Midea 174L at GH₵3,200, Midea 170L bottom-freezer at GH₵3,799, and Nasco 180L at GH₵3,599.
  • Mid-size, about 200 to 310 litres: roughly GH₵3,000 to GH₵5,300. Examples: Nasco 200L at GH₵3,699, a Hisense 205L fridge with water dispenser at GH₵3,499, Chiq 270L at GH₵4,199, a Roch 309L with water dispenser at GH₵4,800 and a Chiq 250L bottom-freezer at GH₵5,299.
  • Large top- and bottom-freezer, about 300 to 430 litres: roughly GH₵6,600 to GH₵12,500. Examples: Chiq 385L at GH₵6,669, TCL 305L at GH₵8,999, Samsung 393L at GH₵9,499, LG 395L at GH₵10,500 to GH₵10,999 and a TCL 421L French-mirror door at GH₵12,499.
  • Very large and smart fridges (600 litres and above): Samsung 600L to 640L twin-cooling models were GH₵14,499 to GH₵17,499, and Samsung Family Hub smart French-door fridges ran from about GH₵33,999 to GH₵46,000.

Look at the star rating or energy label if one is shown, and ask whether the compressor is an inverter type, as these use less electricity. A very low price for a "smart" fridge usually means a smaller or older unit than the headline suggests.

Air conditioner prices in Ghana: split units by horsepower

Air conditioner prices depend on horsepower (HP), whether the unit is inverter or non-inverter, and whether it is a wall-mounted split or a floor-standing/cassette model. Always ask whether installation, piping and a stand are included.

  • 1.5HP split (small bedroom or office): Hisense units were listed from GH₵2,850 to GH₵4,900, Midea from GH₵3,640 to GH₵4,899, and LG non-inverter 1.5HP at GH₵4,600. An LG 1.5HP dual inverter was GH₵6,100.
  • 2HP split: a Hisense 2.0HP was GH₵3,850 (new) and GH₵4,500 for a used inverter unit; LG 2.0HP inverter models ranged from GH₵8,799 to GH₵13,650.
  • 2.5HP split (large room): Hisense 2.5HP was GH₵4,850 to GH₵8,300, a Midea 2.5HP split GH₵8,890, and LG 2.5HP units mostly GH₵9,799 to GH₵12,200, with one LG ArtCool Wi-Fi model at GH₵16,400.
  • Floor-standing and cassette: Midea 3HP floor-standing models were GH₵11,499 to GH₵14,999, an LG 3HP inverter floor-standing GH₵25,899 to GH₵25,999, a Midea 5HP tower GH₵29,800 and a Midea 5HP inverter cassette GH₵33,999.

One LG 2.5HP listing at GH₵5,300 was far below others of the same size, so confirm the model number, whether it is new and what is included before you trust a price that low. A used air conditioner can be a bargain, but ask how long it has been in service and who will install it.

LG, Samsung, Hisense and Midea: how to choose

Looking across all three categories, the pattern is consistent. Local and value labels (Nasco, Asano, Midea, Hisense, Chiq, TCL) sit at the lower end of each band, LG and Samsung are mostly priced higher for the same size, and the top bands are smart or premium models. Choose by the feature you actually need (inverter, capacity, energy label, panel type) rather than by brand alone, and check the model number on the seller's own listing to confirm it matches the specs in the advert.

What to check before paying for an appliance

  • Ask for the exact model number and confirm it matches the advert.
  • Check the unit is new, ex-display or used, and get it in writing.
  • Ask what warranty applies and who handles repairs. Terms vary between sellers and brands.
  • Confirm delivery, installation and any stand or bracket costs before you agree a total.
  • Test the item on delivery (picture, sound, cooling) before you accept it.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a fridge in Ghana? In early October 2026 listings, small double-door fridges started around GH₵2,000, mid-size ones around GH₵3,500 to GH₵5,300, large 300 to 430 litre models GH₵6,600 to GH₵12,500 and smart French-door models above GH₵33,000.

How much is a 55-inch TV in Ghana? Listed 55-inch smart TVs ranged from about GH₵6,900 for a TCL to GH₵10,700 for an LG QNED, with premium OLED models around GH₵20,000.

Which air conditioner size do I need? A 1.5HP split is a common choice for a small room and larger rooms usually call for more capacity, but there is no single answer. Ask the seller to size the unit to your room, sun exposure and the number of people using it.

Are Hisense and Midea cheaper than LG and Samsung? In the listings we reviewed, Hisense and Midea units were mostly priced lower than LG and Samsung of similar size, but compare specs, not just price.
