Selling on Comilmart as an Exporter: Verification, Listings, RFQs and Samples (2026)

If you are an exporter or an aggregator of African products and want to sell on Comilmart, here is a plain summary of what the platform offers and how the pieces fit together. Comilmart is a business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketplace serving Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda and other African markets, and buyers from overseas can register on it too.

Free account and listing

Creating an account is free, and exporters can list products on Comilmart, including before they have gone through verification. You can start at /register. Verification is not a precondition for listing. Comilmart does not promise that buyers will find a listing, that deals will close, or what prices or volumes you will see, so treat the listing as a way to be visible and reachable, not as a guaranteed sales channel.

Verified supplier checks (KYS) are optional

Comilmart has verified supplier checks, known as KYS. Verified status is optional, but it builds trust with buyers who are deciding whether to deal with a supplier they have never met. Overseas buyers often check a supplier carefully before ordering, as the vetting advice for importers shows, so having verified status gives you something concrete to point to. For the full picture of what verification is for, read how to become a verified supplier. If you want to know exactly what documents or steps verification involves, ask via live chat or start at /register, because we are not going to guess at a document list here.

B2B catalog: MOQs and tiered pricing

Comilmart's wholesale catalog supports minimum order quantities and tiered pricing. For exporters that matters because overseas buyers think in container loads, pallets or tonnes, not single bags. Our guide to setting MOQs and price tiers for wholesale buyers explains how to choose them. When you prepare your own listing information, collect what any serious buyer will ask for: a clear product description, specification or grade, packing size, minimum order, price basis and photos. Read what buyers see in the B2B wholesale catalog and the food and agro category before you write yours.

RFQs: how buyers ask for quotes

Buyers can register and send requests for quotation (RFQs) at comilmart.com/request-quotation. To find out how RFQs reach you and how to respond, ask via live chat after you register. Whenever you do receive a request, answer with a quotation that states price basis, minimum order, validity and payment terms. If you are unsure how to structure a quotation or a proforma invoice, the US government's pro forma invoice page lists the typical details such as seller and buyer names and addresses, items, unit prices, weights and dimensions, terms of sale, payment terms, estimated shipping date and a validity date.

Sample orders, live chat, buyer protection and financing

Comilmart supports sample orders, which let a buyer try a product before committing to a larger purchase. Sample ordering lets buyers test quality first. For exporters, the sensible approach is to treat a sample as part of your sales process: decide in advance what a sample is, what it costs and who pays for delivery, and tell the buyer in chat before they order. Comilmart also offers live chat with sellers, which means buyers can ask about specifications, certificates and lead times directly. Quick, specific answers are usually what turns an enquiry into an order. We have not published how sample pricing or delivery is arranged on the platform, so ask via live chat if you need that.

Buyer protection on Comilmart holds payment until delivery is confirmed, with a 7-day window for the buyer to report issues. For you as a seller this is a trust signal, since buyers are more comfortable ordering from someone they have not met when payment is protected. Read how buyer protection actually works for the detail. Comilmart also offers trade financing; ask via live chat for what is available.

What this page does not cover

We deliberately have not described fees, commission, shipping arrangements, customs clearance, export documents or approval timelines, because we do not want to state anything we cannot confirm. Export paperwork is your responsibility together with your forwarder and the authorities. The US government's common export documents page (content last changed February 2025) gives a general overview of documents such as the pro forma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and transport documents, and recommends asking your foreign buyer or a freight forwarder which documents are needed. Rules change, so confirm requirements for your own country and product with the relevant authority. For crop-specific steps, see our guide to exporting agricultural products from Africa.
