Single phase meter

A single-phase meter is an electrical device used to measure energy consumption in single-phase power systems, typically in residential and small commercial settings. It records the amount of electricity consumed in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and ensures accurate billing. These meters operate with a single alternating current (AC) phase and are commonly used for loads up to 240V. They can be analog (electromechanical) or digital (smart meters with remote monitoring capabilities).
